Murcia Arco Norte project moves to construction phase

Construction is set to begin on the first section of the Arco Norte in Murcia, a major infrastructure project aimed at relieving traffic at the Espinardo junction. The Spanish Ministry of Transport has finalized the main contract, valued at approximately 84 million euros, including taxes.

The contract was awarded to a joint venture (UTE) consisting of FCC and Pavasal. The project involves the construction of the first 8.3 kilometers, known as Section B, which will connect the MU-32 highway to the A-7 highway via the Cabezo de Torres link. The current timeline targets completion of this initial stretch by 2031.
