Spain infrastructure: Major urban and logistics projects underway

Various regional infrastructure and urban development projects are underway across Spain. In San Pedro del Pinatar, the municipality has awarded a seven-year street cleaning contract to FCC, totaling over 14 million euros, which includes a complete fleet renewal and increased personnel.

In the logistics sector, a 27-million-euro multi-service complex called the Biosfera Terres de l’Ebre Truck Park is being developed in L’Ampolla by Multigrupo. The facility aims to provide secure parking for over 50 trucks, renewable energy infrastructure, and services for professional drivers. Similarly, in Murcia, construction has begun on a 14.4-million-euro secure truck parking area in the Ciudad Agroalimentaria y del Transporte, featuring 261 spaces and advanced security systems.

Urban renewal projects include the transformation of Ses Païsses park in Sant Antoni, Ibiza, with a 4.3-million-euro budget to create a multifunctional space with a zipline and bike circuits. In La Orden, the Plaza de la Provincia is being renovated with a 1.2-million-euro investment to create green spaces and inclusive playgrounds. Additionally, Valencia is beginning a 14.9-million-euro project to transform the San Agustín plaza area into a pedestrian-friendly zone with more vegetation, scheduled for completion in phases through 2030. Finally, a new 50-space parking lot has been completed in the La Granja neighborhood to improve accessibility to local health and library services.
