Murcia health services announce new medical leadership appointments

The Murcian Health Service (SMS) has announced several key leadership appointments within the Region of Murcia. Dr. Ricardo Robles, a renowned transplant surgeon and regional transplant coordinator, has been named emeritus personnel of the SMS. This appointment allows him to continue contributing his expertise to the healthcare system following his retirement.

Additionally, neurologist María Purificación Salmerón Ato has been appointed as the new medical director for Health Area VII (Murcia Este - Reina Sofía). She succeeds Fernando de la Cierva, who retired earlier this year. Salmerón Ato previously served as the medical assistant sub-director at the Reina Sofía Hospital.
