Murcia launches subsidies for winery tourism accommodations

The Region of Murcia has launched a new call for subsidies totaling 500,000 euros, with the possibility of an additional 200,000 euros, to promote tourism accommodations within wineries. The initiative, managed by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sports, aims to expand lodging options linked to wine tourism in the Bullas, Jumilla, and Yecla wine routes. Grants of up to 125,000 euros per project will be available to fund the construction, renovation, or adaptation of facilities, as well as the acquisition of furniture and equipment. These accommodations must be located within the main winery building or in connected annexes to ensure an integrated enotourism experience.

In a separate development within the sector, Tomás Elías González Benítez has introduced a digital library designed to assist enthusiasts with wine selection, conservation, and service. The platform provides practical resources organized by theme, allowing users to find specific guidance on interpreting labels, storing bottles correctly, and preparing wine for consumption based on individual preferences and occasions.
