Ponferrada Food Market modernizes security and access control
The Ponferrada City Council is implementing a security and access control modernization project at the Ponferrada Food Market (Mercado de Abastos). The initiative is part of a broader renovation plan aimed at improving the protection of merchants, workers, and users.
The project includes the installation of IP cameras, a recording system, intrusion alarms, detectors, and automated access controls for the building's main entrances. This automation is intended to facilitate more efficient management of opening and closing schedules.
The investment totals 13,243.45 euros, with funding provided by the Junta de Castilla y León, which covers 75% of the cost (9,932.59 euros), while the Ponferrada City Council assumes the remaining 25% (3,310.86 euros).
