Murcia police investigate discovery of man's body in alleyway
The National Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered in an alleyway near Elías Ros Street in the Carmen neighborhood of Murcia, Spain. The discovery was made by a cleaning service worker who reported a strong odor in the area.
Local police officers arrived at the scene near Pintor Pedro Flores Street and found a person's foot visible among belongings. The deceased, whose identity and age have not been released, was transported to the Institute of Legal Medicine for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and whether it was violent.
Initial inspections suggest the man may have been deceased for several days. Investigators are currently considering the theory that the individual was a homeless person living on the street, noting a shopping cart nearby that may have been used to transport his belongings.
