Murcia Restoration Center completes San Francisco Javier image restoration

The Region of Murcia's Department of Culture has completed the restoration of the image of San Francisco Javier, the patron saint of San Javier. The project was carried out by the Region of Murcia Restoration Center (CRRM).

The restoration process involved scientific studies followed by a comprehensive intervention. Specialists performed a cleaning to remove thick varnish and moisture stains, and applied preventive treatments against wood-boring insects to address previous damage from woodworm.
