Murcia's SEF+Cerca mobile unit assists over 1,000 people
The SEF+Cerca mobile unit has assisted 1,053 people during its first six months of operation in the Region of Murcia. The pilot project, launched by the Regional Employment and Training Service (SEF) on January 12, aims to provide employment, training, and labor orientation services to 22 municipalities that lack permanent employment offices.
Over the course of the first semester, the mobile office traveled 6,692 kilometers to reach residents, allowing them to complete administrative tasks and access job search resources without traveling to other towns. The municipalities with the highest number of users were Las Torres de Cotillas (152), Santomera (119), and Los Alcázares (115).
In addition to assisting job seekers, the unit provides services for companies, self-employed individuals, and entrepreneurs. It offers personalized labor guidance, information on training courses, and assistance with electronic services. Pilar Valero, Director General of SEF, stated that the project responds to a real citizen need by eliminating displacement barriers. The SEF plans to expand and reinforce these services following the summer period.
