Murder of 19‑year‑old Magdalena D. in Mszana Górna, Poland

On 14 June, 19‑year‑old Magdalena D. was attacked around 22:06 after returning from work in Mszana Górna. Investigators said the perpetrator inflicted six wounds, including a cut to the neck and five stabbing injuries to the chest. The attack was carried out by her former boyfriend, 19‑year‑old Kacper W., who fled the scene.

Kacper W.'s body was discovered the following day in the forest on Góra Spyrkowa, about 2 km from the crime scene. A preliminary autopsy indicated death by hanging, with no other injuries recorded. A knife was found near Magdalena D.'s body. Prosecutor Justyna Rataj‑Mykietyn said further specialist examinations are needed to determine whether the knife caused the fatal injuries. The investigation continues, with a team of experts appointed to review all evidence.

The case has drawn public attention due to the brutal nature of the assault and the subsequent suicide of the suspect.
