Mureș County Police launch crime prevention campaign at local workplaces
The Mureș County Police Inspectorate has launched a series of informative and preventive activities targeting employees at various commercial companies across the region. This initiative, organized by the Crime Analysis and Prevention Department, aims to bring safety information directly to citizens at their workplaces through collaboration with the private sector.
Key topics of discussion include online safety and the prevention of cyber fraud. Officers briefed workers on common deceptive methods, such as impersonating well-known institutions or platforms, fraudulent calls from individuals claiming to be bank representatives, fake holiday offers, and online shopping scams. Participants received guidance on protecting personal and banking data, verifying information, and avoiding suspicious links or unauthorized payments.
Additionally, the campaign addressed domestic violence prevention under the slogan ‘Request electronic monitoring when you are in danger! Protect your life!’. Police explained the role of electronic monitoring systems and the various support services available to those at risk, including psychological, legal, and social counseling. The outreach included visits to a fan factory in Târnăveni, a production unit in Sighișoara, and a sugar factory in Luduș.
