murffin discs celebrates 20th anniversary with large-scale festival

The independent music label murffin discs, established by the Shibuya-based live house Shibuya eggman, held its largest-ever anniversary event, ‘murffin Carnival!!’, on October 18, 2026, at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium First Gymnasium in Tokyo.

The festival featured 20 artists performing across four distinct stages: FRY STAGE, SCRAMBLE STAGE, BOIL STAGE, and POACH STAGE. Notable performers included Macaroni Empitsu, sumika, and SUPER BEAVER. The event marked the 20th anniversary of the label, which has been instrumental in discovering and promoting emerging artists since its inception in 2006.

Coverage of the festival, including performances and special programs exploring the label’s history and artist profiles, is scheduled to be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW and Lemino in December 2026.
