Murnita Triwidyaning sentenced to one year for demolishing customs office house in Surabaya

A Surabaya court sentenced Murnita Triwidyaning, also known as Nita, to one year in prison for orchestrating the demolition of a customs office residence. Prosecutors said she rented an excavator through a messaging app in August 2025 and used it to raze the state‑owned house on Jalan Asemrowo Kali No. 23, causing losses estimated at 537 million rupiah. The charge, filed under Articles 410 and 406 of the Indonesian Criminal Code, was read aloud by prosecutor Reiyan Novamdana Syanur Putra at the Surabaya District Court on 5 August 2026.
