Murphy Reid urged to find form ahead of AFL Grand Final

AFL Grand Final Murphy Reid Fremantle Dockers Leigh Matthews Australian Rules Football

AFL legend Leigh Matthews has advised Fremantle Dockers star Murphy Reid to watch replays of his best performances to rebuild confidence ahead of the upcoming grand final against Brisbane.

Reid, an All-Australian player, has struggled with uncharacteristic errors and indecision during the recent finals series. Matthews noted that the 20-year-old appears to be overthinking his movements on the field, suggesting that Reid needs to play on instinct rather than questioning his positioning.

Reid missed the final two games of the regular season due to an injury sustained against Melbourne. While he has maintained respectable disposal numbers in recent finals matches against Hawthorn, Geelong, and Sydney, observers noted a lack of his usual polish and swagger.
