Central Arkansas defeats UT Martin 36-24 in FCS season opener

Central Arkansas defeated UT Martin 36-24 in their Football Championship Subdivision season opener. The victory was led by sophomore quarterback Donovyn Omolo, who completed 20 of 27 passes for 243 yards and threw three touchdown passes in his debut for the Bears.

Omolo’s touchdown connections included two passes to Arlie Lee, including a 51-yard reception. Jalen Washington added a 27-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter to secure the two-score lead. Central Arkansas finished the game with 361 total yards compared to UT Martin’s 296. UT Martin, ranked No. 23 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25, saw quarterback Julian Calvez throw for 147 yards and two interceptions.
