Murray State University athletics report recent competition results

Murray State University athletics saw mixed results across several programs during recent competitions. In women's volleyball, the Racers lost their Missouri Valley Conference opener to Drake in three sets: 25-13, 25-18, and 25-19. Alexa Watts led the team with seven kills, while Mija Pristovnik recorded a match-high 15 digs.

In women's tennis, the Murray State team began the Austin Peay Invitational in Clarksville, Tennessee. Meanwhile, the Western Kentucky Lady Toppers completed the first day of the same tournament, securing two doubles victories against Austin Peay but facing challenges in singles play.

In women's soccer, Murray State is preparing for its first Missouri Valley Conference road trip to face Southern Illinois. The Salukis currently hold a six-match winning streak, while the Racers look to build on a defensive performance that has seen them allow one goal or fewer in five of their last six matches.
