Murray State volleyball hosts home-opening weekend

The Murray State University volleyball team is set to host its home-opening weekend at Racer Arena following a 14-match road stretch. The Racers, currently 2-12 overall and 0-2 in Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) play, will face the University of Evansville on Friday at 6 p.m.

Evansville enters the matchup with a 3-11 record and an 0-2 MVC standing. The Purple Aces recently competed in high-set matches against Southern Illinois and Bradley. Murray State holds a slight edge in the all-time series against Evansville when playing at home, having won the last three meetings between the programs.

On Saturday, Murray State will host Indiana State at 6 p.m. The Sycamores hold a 6-7 record and are also 0-2 in conference play. The weekend marks a significant transition for the Racers as they return to their home court for the first time this season.
