Mursko Središće expands Brezje economic zone by 13 hectares

The town of Mursko Središće in Croatia has completed a four‑year process to extend the Brezje economic zone with an additional 13 hectares of land. The newly added parcel, previously part of a forest‑agricultural base, was transferred to the town after a donation agreement between the town and Međimurje County, representing the Republic of Croatia, and is valued at about €523,000.

Infrastructure work is now under way to equip the expanded area, with a working meeting attended by Mayor Dražen Srpak, chief Josip Sršan and representatives of Elektre Čakovec, Međimurske vode and Međimurje plina. The town has begun parceling and surveying the land and plans to offer it for sale to investors later this year, aiming to attract new businesses, create jobs and strengthen the local economy.
