Mursko Središće hosts traditional Gradski kotlići culinary event

The traditional Gradski kotlići event took place on September 6, 2026, at the Zalešće Sports and Recreation Center in Mursko Središće. The manifestation brought together 24 teams to prepare various traditional dishes, including bograč, goulash, chilli con carne, Međimurje soup, and various bean dishes.

A highlight of the event was the traditional langos frying, organized by the Serjojnski lafrači Association in collaboration with partners from the Hungarian town of Lenti. This activity was part of the “Cross-cultural Connections” project, aimed at strengthening cooperation between cross-border communities through culture.

The project, which runs from March 2026 to February 2027, has a total value of 143,230 euros and is 80 percent co-financed by the European Union. Mursko Središće serves as the lead partner, with Lenti as a project partner. Mayor Dražen Srpak visited the participants, praising the quality of the prepared meals.
