Mursko Središće mayor tackles waste‑burning and quad riding complaints

Mayor Dražen Srpak responded to a resident’s complaint that some people were burning bulky waste in the Sitnice settlement. He reminded that the municipal waste‑collection limits apply to all households, that burning waste – except permitted plant material – is prohibited, and that the municipal patrol will penalise anyone caught lighting waste.

The mayor also issued a public appeal to parents to prevent minors from riding motorcycles and quads on the trails near Peklenica, asking the local police to enforce order. The council approved modest financial support for local groups, including a 150‑euro aid for a retiree branch and funding for sports clubs, and announced the sale of two building‑grade parcels in Peklenica through a public tender.
