Musa Maitafsir launches agricultural and power projects in Sokoto

Musa Maitafsir, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Yabo/Shagari Federal Constituency in Sokoto State, has launched several community support initiatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In an effort to support local agriculture, Maitafsir distributed 1,800 bags of farm inputs, including 600 bags each of fertilizer, maize, and millet, to farmers across various polling units in the constituency. He stated the gesture is intended to improve living standards and build confidence with the electorate.

Additionally, Maitafsir has commenced the rehabilitation of the Sifawa-Shagari-Yabo power line, which has been non-functional for over six years following vandalism. He has reportedly made an advance payment of N150 million to the contracting firm to ensure the project's completion and alleviate the electricity shortage in the two local government areas.
