Musalaha Center launches 21st rehabilitation session in Salé

The Musalaha Center has launched the 21st session of its rehabilitation program at the Salé Local Prison. This latest cycle involves 24 inmates convicted of extremism and terrorism-related offenses.

Implemented under the directives of King Mohammed VI, the program aims to reduce extremism within prisons and facilitate the social reintegration of former detainees. Since its inception in 2017, the initiative has reached a total of 480 participants across 21 sessions.

Ahmed Abbadi, Secretary-General of the Moroccan League of Scholars and President of the Musalaha Center, noted that the program focuses on correcting intellectual and behavioral deviations. He also highlighted that Moroccan prisons are now entirely free of women prosecuted under terrorism laws, following the release of the last female participant in August 2026.
