MUSE/IQUE presents American music evolution concert
MUSE/IQUE will conclude its 2026 season this October with a program titled ‘American Sound Takes Flight: From Aaron Copland to Paul Simon — Our Musical Pursuit of Happiness’. The concert explores the evolution of American music, tracing the lineage from the symphonic innovations of Aaron Copland to modern artists such as Paul Simon, Prince, and Dolly Parton.
Led by Artistic and Music Director Rachael Worby, the MUSE/IQUE Orchestra will be joined by Grammy Award winner Brandon Victor Dixon and soprano Liv Redpath. The performance aims to highlight the connections between classical traditions, folk, and popular culture.
While performances at The Wallis require admission, the final concert on October 28 at the Ambassador Auditorium will be free to the public as part of MUSE/IQUE’s annual Open House.
