Museo Archeologico del Chianti sees record attendance for new exhibition

The Museo Archeologico del Chianti has reported record attendance following the launch of the exhibition ‘Ritorno nel Chianti. Dipinti del XIV e XV secolo’. In its first month, the museum saw nearly 3,000 visitors, nearly doubling the 1,533 visitors recorded during the same period last year.

Mayor Giuseppe Stiaccini noted that the works, which spent 25 years in pinacotheca archives, help renew the connection to the Chianti territory and its historical relationship with Florence. The exhibition features 14th and 15th-century paintings alongside Etruscan materials from the Montecalvario tumulus and contemporary works by artist Michelangelo Consani. The exhibition has been extended by the Fondazione Musei Senesi until November 1.
