Museo Civico di Maddaloni hosts Roberto Pagano Morza exhibition

The Museo Civico di Maddaloni will host “(mis)UNDERSTANDING MEDIA,” an exhibition dedicated to the work of artist Roberto Pagano Morza. Running from October 17, 2026, to January 10, 2027, the showcase explores the relationship between art, communication, and contemporary society.

Morza’s research, which matured during the late 20th century, focused on how television and electronic devices transformed mass culture and daily life. His interdisciplinary practice utilized painting, graphics, installations, and video to investigate the intersection of image and reality. The exhibition highlights significant works such as “Monoscope City – PM 5544” and “Anamorphic Television.”

The exhibition also draws parallels between the media landscape of the 1990s and the modern digital era. It examines how social media and digital platforms currently influence identity construction, social relations, and the boundaries between private and public spaces. The program includes workshops, meetings with art historians, and educational initiatives designed to engage students and younger generations.
