Museo del Canal celebrates 29 years with free admission day
The Museo del Canal will celebrate its 29th anniversary on Wednesday, September 9, with an ‘Open Doors’ event offering free admission to nationals and residents. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., allowing visitors to explore various exhibitions focused on the history and heritage of Panama and the Panama Canal.
Coinciding with mid-year school holidays, the initiative aims to encourage families and students to engage with the museum’s museographic proposals. As a private, non-profit cultural institution, the museum has spent nearly three decades researching, conserving, and disseminating Panama’s historical heritage.
Ana Elizabeth González, the museum’s executive director and chief curator, stated that the anniversary reaffirms the institution’s purpose of serving society and providing a space for people to connect with their history and strengthen their sense of belonging.
