Museo del Gioiello opens new exhibition in Vicenza

The Museo del Gioiello in Vicenza, Italy, has launched a new biennial exhibition titled ‘Gioiello – Italia. Materia Tecnica Arte. Tra Antico e Moderno’. Located within the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Basilica Palladiana, the museum is the first in Italy dedicated entirely to the art of jewelry.

The exhibition, curated by Paola Venturelli, runs until 2027 and features over 150 pieces spanning from the 5th century BC to the early 2000s. The collection includes individual jewels, parures, and precious objects made from gold, coral, gemstones, and glass.

Michela Amenduni, the museum's managing director, stated that the institution aims to value the excellence of the Vicenza goldsmithing district and connect tradition with innovation through workshops and educational activities.
