Museo Iconográfico del Quijote launches exhibitions for Cervantino
The Museo Iconográfico del Quijote (MIQ) has inaugurated a series of three visual arts exhibitions as part of the 54th Festival Internacional Cervantino in Guanajuato. The new programming includes:
‘La noche que me tragué a mi abuelo’, a collection of graphics, painting, and object art by French artist Bruno Fourure; ‘En trámite’, a sculptural installation by Ramsés Ruiz; and ‘Extrañar el mundo’, an anthology of 20th-century European photography from the Cultura Sor Juana collection.
The opening ceremony was led by MIQ Director Onofre Sánchez Menchero, alongside Magdalena Zavala Bonachea of the Secretaría de Cultura and Romain Greco, the general coordinator of the Cervantino Festival. The exhibitions are part of a broader dialogue between the festival and France, focusing on themes of memory and the passage of time.
