Museo Lunar in Spain houses Apollo 11 relics and lunar meteorite

The Museo Lunar in Fresnedillas de la Oliva, located approximately 50 kilometers from Madrid, houses a collection of significant space exploration artifacts. Among the exhibits is a small lunar meteorite and various relics related to the Apollo 11 mission.

The museum features clothing and gear from both American and Soviet space programs, including garments associated with astronauts Miguel López-Alegría and Pedro Duque. The collection also includes helmets, backpacks, and components from the Apollo 15 and 17 missions, as well as items linked to Eugene Cernan, the last person to walk on the Moon.

In addition to physical artifacts, the museum displays original communication equipment, technical documentation, and materials donated by former workers. The town's connection to space history is further reflected in its urban layout, which includes a street named Apollo 11.
