Museo Néstor to become a Municipal Public Foundation

The Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council has unanimously approved the transformation of the Museo Néstor Consortium into a Municipal Public Foundation. This legal restructuring aims to update the institution's legal regime and ensure the continuity of its mission to preserve and promote the work of artist Néstor Martín-Fernández de la Torre.

The new foundation will be attached to the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria City Council and will incorporate all existing assets and liabilities from the dissolved consortium. The new board of trustees will include the Mayor of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Carolina Darias, the President of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, and representatives from the Canary Islands Government and the artist's family.
