Museo Semilla launches science outreach initiative in Chihuahua

The Chihuahua State DIF, through Museo Semilla, is launching the first edition of ‘Sábados de Ciencia’ (Science Saturdays). This initiative aims to bring scientific research and academic knowledge closer to younger generations by creating a meeting point between researchers, educational institutions, and the public.

Developed in partnership with the independent science communication platform El Universitario, the event will take place on Saturday, September 26, from 11:00 to 14:00 at Museo Semilla. The program includes conferences, workshops, demonstrations, and experiments, with free admission for families and students.

Participating institutions include the Instituto Tecnológico de Chihuahua, Universidad La Salle, Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, and Universidad Tecnológica de Chihuahua. Additionally, Panda Academia de Artes and DJI Enterprise Business will participate, with the latter offering drone flight demonstrations. The project seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and society, ensuring university findings reach the wider community.
