Museo Villa Bassi Rathgeb announces Andrea Previtali exhibition

The Museo Villa Bassi Rathgeb in Abano Terme has announced an exhibition titled ‘Andrea Previtali discepolo di Giovanni Bellini’, running from October 17, 2026, to February 7, 2027. Curated by Raffaele Campion and Barbara Maria Savy, the exhibition focuses on the Renaissance painter who worked between Venice and Bergamo and was a student of Giovanni Bellini.

A major highlight of the exhibition is the reconstruction of a triptych created between 1512 and 1515 for the Church of the Annunziata in Serina. The three panels, which had been separated for nearly two centuries, will be displayed together for the first time. Two panels are being provided through collaboration with the Diocese of Bergamo, while the third has been part of the museum’s collection since 1972.

The exhibition is part of a broader initiative by the museum to showcase works from its permanent collections. It follows previous exhibitions dedicated to Cesare Tallone and Leonor Fini.
