Museu de Arte de Goiânia to host National Naïf Art exhibition

The Museu de Arte de Goiânia (MAG) will host the third National Meeting of Naïf Artists (Enanco) starting Tuesday, August 18. The exhibition features 86 self-taught painters from various regions of Brazil, showcasing the spontaneous style characteristic of Naïf art, which is created by artists without formal fine arts training.

The collection includes 77 artists selected through a national call, eight invited guests, and a special tribute to 82-year-old artist Waldomiro de Deus for his contributions to popular culture and visual arts in Goiás and Brazil. The exhibition was curated by Fernanda Porto, PX Silveira, and Sandro Torres.

Supported by the Goyazes 2026 Program of the Goiás State Secretariat of Culture, the event aims to provide a platform for artists to connect with researchers, professionals, and the general public while expanding the visibility of this artistic language.
