Museu de Lleida inaugurates spiritual diversity art exhibition
The Museu de Lleida has inaugurated ‘Instruments de l’ànima’, a contemporary art exhibition exploring how individuals and communities express spirituality and religious beliefs. Curated by Glòria Picazo in collaboration with the Centre d’Art la Panera, the exhibition features five distinct artistic projects that examine worship spaces, rituals, light, and sound.
Key projects include Paula Artés’s ‘Registre invisible’, which uses photography to study the relationship between urban environments and sacred spaces, and Alba Cros Pellisé’s ‘Constel·lació interior’, which investigates the material and symbolic importance of light in religious traditions. Laura Llaneli’s ‘Volum’ explores the role of musical instruments and amplification in collective religious experiences, while Diego Paonessa’s installation, ‘Freqüències’, uses visual and sonic systems to connect art and science with community life. Additionally, Albert Potrony’s ‘Els justos’ engages in a dialogue with religious communities regarding the concept of death.
