Museu do Seridó in Caicó opens first exhibition honoring Padre Tércio

The Museu do Seridó in Caicó, Rio Grande do Norte, reopened its doors on July 29, 2026 with the exhibition “Padre Tércio é uma Biblioteca”. It is the museum’s first show since its recent reopening and pays tribute to the influential local priest, educator and cultural figure Padre Tércio.

The exhibition displays personal objects such as clothing, watches, books, furniture and decorative items that illustrate Padre Tércio’s life and contributions to education, communication and regional culture. It will remain on display until October 2026, with the museum closed on July 30‑31 for the Festa de Sant’Ana.

Visitors can view the collection daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the opening day, marking a new chapter in preserving the heritage of the Seridó region.
