Museu Goeldi Zoobotanical Park celebrates 131 years in Belém

The Zoobotanical Park of the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi (MPEG) is celebrating its 131st anniversary in Belém. To mark the occasion, the institution is offering guided trails designed to explore Amazonian nature and the history of the site.

Available activities include the Sustainability Trail, which examines human and environmental coexistence through species such as rubber trees and açaí; a Historical Trail featuring scientific busts; and a biodiversity-focused trail that allows visitors to observe animals including jaguars, giant otters, and harpy eagles. The park currently houses over 1,700 animals and 3,034 trees.
