Museu Histórico Sorocabano to host Ecoartetherapy workshop

The Museu Histórico Sorocabano (MHS) will host an Ecoartetherapy workshop titled ‘A Árvore que Sou: Arte, Natureza e Autoconhecimento no Museu’ this Friday at 2:30 p.m. The event is open to residents aged 16 and older.

Led by artist and art therapist Merielin Gomes, the workshop integrates artistic expression with nature and self-knowledge. Participants will engage in conscious breathing exercises, contemplative walks through the museum gardens, and the collection of natural materials such as leaves, soil, twigs, and pigments. These elements will then be used to create intuitive abstract art. The activity aims to foster spontaneous creativity and relieve stress by strengthening the personal connection to the environment.
