Museum archives document historical artifacts and regional developments
Various German museum collections have released documentation regarding local history and artifacts. In Recklinghausen, the RETRO STATION museum features a bronze tripod pot, known as a Grapen, which was originally owned by the city administration and donated to the museum in the 1920s.
In Syke, the Kreismuseum Syke maintains an extensive photographic and manuscript archive documenting the Plackenstraße settlement. The collection includes photographs of the area from the 1950s and 1960s, as well as manuscripts detailing the population growth in Syke between 1939 and 1951, specifically addressing how the region managed a refugee crisis during that period.
