Museum Humpis-Quartier begins permanent exhibition redesign
The Museum Humpis-Quartier has launched a gradual redesign of its permanent exhibition, titled ‘Aufbruch in die Demokratie’ (Departure into Democracy). The project, which will continue through 2029, aims to transform the institution into a city museum that focuses more heavily on the history and population of Ravensburg.
The first newly designed section focuses on the 19th century and the early 20th century, covering the period from the 1848 revolution through the Weimar Republic. The exhibition explores political and social upheavals, the development of democratic ideas, the formation of the modern constitutional state, and the introduction of universal suffrage. The museum remains open to the public throughout this transformation process.
