Museum Night at the Villages to feature rural heritage sites across Romania

The fourth edition of Museum Night at the Villages is scheduled for August 29, 2026, featuring over 165 museums, collections, and heritage sites across Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

In Timiș County, six museums will participate. Highlights include the Nikolaus Lenau Memorial House with children's activities, the Charlottenburg Hunting and Forestry Museum offering guided tours and historical demonstrations, and the Traian Vuia Museum focusing on early aviation. Other sites include the Neolithic Sanctuary at Parța, the Swabian and Romanian Museum in Charlottenburg, and the Cinda de la Seceani Village Museum.

In Cluj County, four heritage sites are included in the program. These include the wooden church in Someșu Rece, dating back to 1723, and the nearby traditional peasant house and grandmother's cottage. Additionally, the Museum of Vessels without Smintela in Iara will showcase pottery traditions through ceramic exhibitions and modeling workshops. The event is organized by Asociația Da’DeCe in partnership with the ASTRA Sibiu National Museum Complex and the Dr. Gheorghe Telea Bologa Memorial Center Association.
