Several German towns are hosting museum night events in October 2026, offering free access to various cultural and historical sites.

In Burg, the 19th Museum Night is scheduled for October 16, 2026. From 17:00 to 22:00, 17 different institutions, including the Hexenturm, the Stadtbibliothek ‘Brigitte Reimann’, and the Carl von Clausewitz Memorial Site, will open to the public for free. The program includes medieval music with fire shows, owl encounters at the Freiheitsturm, and guided tours for families.

In Bärnau, the German Button Museum and the Bärnau-Tachov History Park will host a museum night on October 2, 2026. The German Button Museum will feature creative workshops where visitors can design unique items using buttons from the collection. The History Park will offer nighttime lantern tours to explore historical darkness.
