Museum of Architecture of Romania brings exhibition to Brăila

The Museum of Architecture of Romania (MuzA) is bringing its traveling exhibition to Brăila for its final stop of 2026. The program includes an exhibition, research documentation, and events hosted at Cinema Central, which has been temporarily reopened as a cultural space.

Curated by architects Cristian Ștefănescu and Cristian Bădescu, the exhibition focuses on the civic architecture built in Brăila between the 1960s and 1980s. This period of construction, driven by industrialization and urbanization, played a significant role in transforming the Danube city. The exhibition features 11 representative buildings, ranging from administrative and commercial spaces to cultural and sports infrastructure.
