Museum of Contemporary Art hosts ‘Mere tela’ exhibition
The Museum of Contemporary Art (MSU) Salon will host the exhibition ‘Mere tela’ (Bodies of Matter), featuring the works of artists Zorica Čolić and Tanja Juričan. Curated by Miroslav Karić, the exhibition is scheduled to open on August 28.
The artists explore the intersection of the body and society, examining how social values, norms, and capitalism influence human behavior, relationships, and physical existence. Čolić utilizes objects and video to address the impact of contemporary capitalism on the human body, highlighting how technology, medicine, and economic systems transform and augment it. Juričan focuses on the material and symbolic practices that shape individuals and social relations. Together, their interdisciplinary approach combines visual art, technology, and theory to investigate how social expectations become integrated into personal experience and daily habits.
