Museum of Macedonia opens ‘Colors of Freedom’ exhibition

The Museum of Macedonia is opening a new exhibition titled ‘Colors of Freedom’ to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the country's independence. The exhibition, located in the museum's historical section, features a selection of historical artifacts, documents, and artworks from the museum's collection.

The display aims to create a visual dialogue between the past, present, and future, tracing the continuity of Macedonian statehood and cultural identity. It connects key historical milestones, including the Ohrid Literary School, the Ilinden Uprising, the activities of ASNOM, and the 1991 independence referendum.

Featured works include pieces by prominent Macedonian artists such as Lazar Licenoski, Nikola Martinoski, Borko Lazeski, and Dimitar Kondovski, among others. The exhibition will run for two months, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the museum building's construction.
