Museumdrukkerij IJzer & Lood to host sneak preview of new location

Museumdrukkerij IJzer & Lood is hosting a ‘Sneak Preview’ on Saturday, October 17, at its new location on Langeweg 16a in Grootegast. The event allows the public to view the museum while it is still under development.

Chairman Henk Roede noted that the museum is currently being organized into themed spaces, including a printing shop styled after the 1960s/70s and another representing the era around 1900. The bookbinding department and graphic studio are also nearing completion. Work remains to install information panels, screens, and a rare Cossar high-pressure rotary newspaper press imported from New Zealand.

Due to the museum being ‘in wording,’ special admission rates are being offered for the preview day: €5 for adults and €2.50 for children. The event will run from 10:00 to 17:00.
