Museumnacht Leiden wins best student initiative award

The Museumnacht Leiden organization has been awarded the prize for the best student initiative. The award was presented during a New Year's reception hosted by the political party Studenten voor Leiden (SVL) to mark the start of the new academic year.

Other nominees for the initiative award included the study association Labyrint and Weerbaar Minerva. Museumnacht Leiden has been organized by Quintus students since 2009 and is recognized as one of the most successful museum nights in the country.

During the event, SVL leadership discussed the party's recent political developments, including securing two seats in the March elections and participating in coalition negotiations for the city of Leiden. The party also introduced Elianne Wijnands as a candidate for alderman, noting her intended focus on student affairs.
