Museums in Denmark and Norway host autumn holiday activities
Museums in Denmark and Norway are hosting various activities for the autumn holiday season.
Museum Mors in Denmark is offering Halloween-themed experiences and fossil hunting. The Støberimuseet in Nykøbing Mors will host “Gys på den gamle fabrik” on October 16, featuring dark corridors and performers for visitors aged 10 and up. For younger or more cautious guests, the museum offers “Mørke dage på Støberimuseet” during daytime hours. Additionally, visitors can participate in guided fossil hunts at the museum’s moler pit to search for 55-million-year-old fossils, including fish, insects, and plants.
In Norway, the Jernbanemuseet is hosting autumn activities focused on exploration and play. Programs include task booklets for children, building workshops, and a code-breaking mystery in the museum park. The museum also features historical exhibits, including iconic travel posters, locomotive halls, and information regarding the deportation of Jews during World War II.
