Museums in Neu-Ulm and Nördlingen announce winter schedules

Several museums in the Neu-Ulm district and Nördlingen are transitioning to winter operating hours or seasonal breaks.

In Neu-Ulm, the Archaeological Park Kellmünz tower will close after October 31, 2026, remaining closed until late March 2027, though the park grounds remain accessible. The Klostermuseum Roggenburg will operate on weekends and holidays from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM through March 2027. The Bavarian Bee Museum in Illertissen remains open year-round from Thursday to Sunday, though live bees will be with keepers during the cold months. The Museum of Fine Arts in Nersingen-Oberfahlheim also maintains year-round weekend hours.

In Nördlingen, the City Museum and City Wall Museum will begin their annual winter break on November 8. Before closing, visitors can view temporary exhibitions, including a display on Swabian Sinti and Roma at the City Museum and a photography exhibition regarding Nördlingen's historical boundaries at the City Wall Museum. Preparations are currently underway for the city's 2027 dual anniversary celebrating 700 years of the city wall and 600 years of St. Georgskirche.
