Museums in Neuquén highlight paleontological heritage

The Carmen Funes Municipal Museum in Plaza Huincul is hosting a special event to celebrate Museum Day. The day-long program, running from 10:00 to 17:00, includes guided tours of paleontological halls, an artisan fair featuring local creators, recreational activities for children, and various cultural performances.

In Villa El Chocón, the Ernesto Bachmann Paleontological Museum continues to serve as a hub for prehistoric study and tourism. Local guide Nahuel Orrego, who began working at the institution following the pandemic, shares his passion for the region's dinosaur heritage, noting that his interest in the fossils of Neuquén began in childhood and continues through personal exploration of areas like Cañadón Escondido.
