Museums in Spain and Mexico host art and music exhibitions

The Museo de Chiclana in Spain has inaugurated ‘La música por los ojos II. Arte y Jazz’, an exhibition exploring the visual connection between music and fine arts. The showcase features artworks that transformed iconic album covers into pieces of art, highlighting the aesthetic value of vinyl records. The exhibition is scheduled to run until November 15.

In Mexico, the Museo de Arte Moderno (MAM) is hosting a specialized tour titled ‘El departamento de los alquimistas torturados’. This activity explores the surrealist works of Remedios Varo, focusing on themes of alchemy, desire, and transformation. The tour creates a dialogue between Varo’s paintings and contemporary music, specifically referencing Taylor Swift’s album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ to connect classical surrealism with modern pop culture. The Remedios Varo exhibition will remain on display through early 2027.
