Museums in Turin launch new exhibitions and accessibility initiatives
The MAUTO museum in Turin has launched three new exhibition paths exploring the intersection of automobiles and visual arts. The program, titled ‘L’arte è ovunque’, includes a photography exhibition, ‘Serie Limitata. Paesaggi mobili in fotografia’, which runs until April 4, 2027, and a solo exhibition by Gerald Laing, ‘Full Speed’, which concludes on March 7, 2027. Additionally, the museum has introduced a new chapter to its permanent collection, ‘Convergenze’.
Separately, the Galleria Civica d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (GAM) in Turin has introduced ‘Autonomy for Art’. Developed with support from Stellantis Autonomy, this initiative aims to improve accessibility for visitors with sensory, cognitive, and motor disabilities. The project features multisensory guides, tactile aids, audio descriptions, subtitles in Italian and English, and sign language translations. It also includes visual video stories to help visitors familiarize themselves with the museum layout before their visit.
